Werner Kraus was born in Bratislava (Slovakia) on 4th May1942 and is a citizen of Austria. He studied business economics in Vienna, graduating in 1964, and holds the title of “Diplomkaufmann” (Equivalent to MBA).
Werner Kraus was elected as President of ÖAMTC in 2001. At the international level, Werner Kraus has been a member of the FIA World Council for Mobility and Automobile since 2001, President of the FIA Region I (Europe, Africa and the Middle East) from 2005 until May 2013 and holds the office of AIT President since 2004
Werner holds the office of the Chairman of the FIA Audit Committee since 2009.
